In January 2005 the school expanded to become a Scandinavian Education Center, offering full-time and part time daycare and preschool for children 9 months to five years old, language classes for children K-12 as well as for adults.

Qualified Preschool Teachers Needed  

The Scandinavian School is seeking fully qualified preschool teachers for the infant and preschool programs.  The school follows a Scandinavian play based curriculum and is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.  The school offers a language immersion program where only Danish, Norwegian and Swedish are spoken in the classrooms.  The preschool children ages range from 2-5.9 and the infant classroom ages are from 9 months.

Nordic 5 Arts was founded in 1993 by Kati Casida. The organization is comprised of professional artists in the San Francisco Bay Area of Nordic/Scandinavian descent and artists born in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

Danish clubs and organizations:

Danish American Chamber of Commerce of Northern California "The primary independent organization supporting and promoting the Danish-American community in Northern California."

Rebild National Park Society, Inc. (Rebild-selskabet)  "The mission of the Organization is to strengthen and support the friendship and the cultural ties between the people of Denmark and the people of the United States".

The Organization was established in 1912 and the local San Francisco Chapter has been in existence since 1965.
